34th Iran fleet docks at port of Muscat

TEHRAN, Jun. 08 (MNA) – The 34th Iranian fleet has docked at the Omani port of Muscat on Monday after spending 60 days in international waters in Indian Ocean, Sea of Oman and Gulf of Aden.

The 34th Iranian fleet including Alborz destroyer and Bushehr helicopter-carrier warship left for the international waters on April 8, 2015 to protect the Iranian ships and the country's interests in the international waters.

Captain Mostafa Tajeddini, Commander of the 34th naval fleet, hailed brave Iranian naval forces during the two-month mission, saying that, “they fought with pirates, preserved the country's interests and escorted the Iranian oil tankers and merchant vessels.”

The presence of 34th naval fleet in international waters follows different goals including  announcing message of peace and friendship to the regional countries.
